Maine and Rhode Islanders - Have you been diagnosed with breast cancer?

The American Cancer Society’s Reach to Recovery™ program and The Miriam Hospital offer Moving Forward Together 2, a research study aimed at providing survivorship support and increasing physical activity among women diagnosed with breast cancer.
Eligible women are assigned to either:
• Reach to Recovery: 12 weeks of Reach to Recovery support and services with exercise tip sheets provided at the end of the study, or
• Reach to Recovery Plus: A 12-week home-based physical activity program that includes Reach to Recovery Services.

Do you know what to do next?

Researchers at Mount Sinai are currently attempting to develop a program as part of a research study to improve the quality of life among Prostate Cancer Survivors. To complete this research we are looking to hear about what influences your treatment decisions.

Study participation includes an interview conducted either in person or over the phone at a time of your convenience. You will receive compensation for each completed assessment for your study participation.

Honor yourself and your caregivers by enjoying a free breakfast and special tent events just for Breast Cancer Survivors and their caregivers on 10/23/10 at 7:30a.m. at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk for Hillsborough County.

The survivor's tent will be very hard to miss! We will be dead center of the pavillion near the lightning bolts at the St.Pete Times Forum.

1st Annual "Eye Am Not Alone" Conference: Educating, Supporting and Building Hope for the Ocular Melanoma Community
Dana Farber Cancer Institute

We are excited to announce OMF's 1st Annual Eye Am Not Alone Patient and Caregiver Conference: Educating, Supporting, and Building Hope for the Ocular Melanoma Community. The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is generously co-sponsoring this event that will be held in Boston at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute October 23-24, 2010.

Because of Dana-Farber's generous contribution, the cost for the weekend (including most meals) will be minimal for participants.
